Imaginative Traveller / The Adventure Travel Company

During out last presentation by Matt he talked to us about his experience as a Team Leader.
Matt´s presentation was very easy and imaginative to understand because of his examples
and pictures. Overall, Matts presentation was very interesting since he entertained us all with the various questions customers ask at a destinations. He lead us through the various skills a Team Leader and a Travel Consultant must have
a few he mentioned were:

  • Qualities
  • Day to day roles
  • Rewards
  • Followed by examples and pictures.

An example Matt used was when a customer asked him that he didnt understand, how the  ATM was going to read his VISA!!!

Lets Do A Contiki!

Why not try something that is especially designed for us- young adults?
Why not find out more information about a company that makes exciting and interesting trips?

Contiki is an excellent example of this kind of a company. It is an organisation that specialises in hassle free vacations for individuals ranging from eighteen to thirty five. They operate in over forty countries all over the world and specifically generate groups so as to make the travel experience among individuals both enriching and memorable.

The presentation on Friday was very informative and sellable. I as a ‘client’ was hooked the moment Michelle introduced the company, described their available packages, their target market demographics and who as a client qualifies for a Contiki.

A few aspects that really stood out during Michelle's  presentation were the amount of emphasis that the organisation pays to ‘age’ demographics. Highlights the ‘affordability’ of the trip and finally adds a touch of personal time to every itinerary.

Since Michelle genuinely believed in the product she sold-I as a client was genuinely hooked!

PROMOTE PRIDE

A plethora of people are going on these trips to get a new experience, even though these trips are designed for the LGBT's a lot of straight people like going on these trips as well for e.g: family and friends. These trips are of smaller groups like from 12-14. People on these trips can feel free and comfortable around other people because most of them have similar mentalities. Robert Sharp is the co-founder OUT adventure. I believe this presentation was very informative, most individuals are unaware of such companies. these though are expanding at an unprecedented rate and have high growth potential along with client massing capabilities.
finally, as a hypothetical future client-we as an organization and individuals were sold.

Volunteer Travel – why not?

Even though there are many volunteer organizations which raise money from the donors, Kiva is an organization which gives an opportunity to receive a small scale loans for people who otherwise would not have access to financial help. I have been inspired by many people in my life, however, presentation made by Taylor Akin who experienced volunteer travel has encouraged me to not only think of giving the loan but also to take a look on volunteer travel more closer. Volunteer Travel gives an amazing opportunity to experience new places, and help local society. Also it plays an important role in finding our strength and weaknesses as well as challenging ourselves. It becomes more essential not what we see but what we can experience. So if you want to experience something new which will definitely change you in many good ways- try out the volunteer travel, TRY KIVA !! :D

Scenic Caves :FAT MAN'S MISERY

Although in every season of the year Collingwood offers a lot to see, I believe that autumn is the perfect time to go there. Everything is just colorful and scenery is magnificent. Collingwood is not a 5 star resort,it is a relaced and peaceful destination where people can enjoy being face-to-fac with nature, excitment, and adventure. And this fact makes this spot even more beautiful. Tourist will not find there a fancy restaurants, clubs, and stores. Instead they will notice a wooden house/bar where they might leave their stuff, eat luch, buy a snack or just take some rest. Torists might also find a professional help of instructors who will show the most significant spots of Collingwood. And, one of the is undoubtedly Scenic Caves tour. The caverns were formed by ice movement of the Glacial Ages, and only recently have benn opened to tourists. Scenic Caves offers more than simply thrilling adventure and spectacular scenery. They are a maginficent part of nature. Also there is the amazing view available form the Scenic Caves Lookout Point. Tourists can enjoy the safe, beautifuful, and eco friendly way of spending time. So dear tiurists don't forget your hiking shoes and backpacks when going there. Enjoy and have fun. See you in Collingwood!!!!!!!

TREE-TOP WALKING:D

On top of trees, surrounded by nature, hung to wires with cables and walking on a platform of wood which was only about 2 inches wide. Almost everyone thought that the hike would be a piece of cake only to find out the tipsy turvy wooden platform. Changing the cables was a hard task for the short folks as most of them had a hard time reaching the wires above. Some clung to the trees as they didn't want to walk anymore as they were getting dizzy and some sat down on the platform just to take pictures. Everyone was having the time of their life as it was a new experience for almost everyone on that trip. The memories of the trip are great but to make your own precious memories - you will have to go on the trip yourself and find out what's in store for YOU :D

1000 FT ABOVE

After the scenic drive in a tractor from our cabin with our 2 guides, i found myself deposited 1000 ft above sea level with the Ontario lake in the fore ground and the niagara escarpment behind me, i gazed upon one of the most beautiful sceneries i had ever laid eyes on.
15 minutes of procrastinating later my adrenaline was pumping and i was fastened onto innumerable cables and stepped down to get an unobstructed view of what nature had to offer. My breath held in my throat as i stood there ready to jump. A countdown to 3 was all it took for me to see heaven on earth.

AFTER OUR TRIP TO THE ARBORETUM

The trip was great and we felt refreshed after the hike. Even though the trip was only a half day tour we really enjoyed it because as we all live in the city we don't take out time to go to parks and interact with nature as often. The Arboretum let us feel in peace as we were surrounded by nature and we didn't hear the hustling and bustling of the city traffic. It was a good 1-1.5 hrs of waking and for people who are a on a diet or on a mission to lose weight it was a good workout. It's also a good place for people who like to do yoga as its very quiet and peacful.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE HUMBER ARBORETUM

The Humber Arboretum first opened in 1977 and it works hand in hand with the city of Toronto. It is located in the North campus of Humber College. It consists of bird watching, hiking and cycling. It is a safe place as it is fenced so that students, visitors or animals are not harmed. The Arboretum also offers different types of programs such as: Birthday parties, Summer Nature Camps, Winter Camps, Teacher workshops etc. The half day programs starts from $6 and full day Programs are from $12 and for the program to take place they need a minimum of 20 students/visitors. As the site is very eco-friendly the building is also built in a eco friendly way. The building consists of sustainable design elements and green technologies. For example: They have solar heat sources, water conserving toilets, natural cooling and ventilating. For more information on the Arboretum you can take a half or full day tour or you can join our group on facebook :adventuristas007@groups.facebook.com

MORNING HIKE IN HUMBER'S ARBORETUM

On 1st October we went to Humber's Arboretum for a hike with our Humber guides and we had a very great time because we are all nature lovers. It was a pleasant day and we didn't really know what to expect but it turned out to be amazing because we actually saw deer's but the sad part was we disturbed it and we couldn't get a picture :( . Anyways the Humber Arboretum offers great views for bird watching and has a cycling path too, but mainly its great for hiking. We would suggest the Humber Arboretum to everyone who don't have a lot of time in their hands and people who love nature. Some of the pictures of our trip :
