Even though there are many volunteer organizations which raise money from the donors, Kiva is an organization which gives an opportunity to receive a small scale loans for people who otherwise would not have access to financial help. I have been inspired by many people in my life, however, presentation made by Taylor Akin who experienced volunteer travel has encouraged me to not only think of giving the loan but also to take a look on volunteer travel more closer. Volunteer Travel gives an amazing opportunity to experience new places, and help local society. Also it plays an important role in finding our strength and weaknesses as well as challenging ourselves. It becomes more essential not what we see but what we can experience. So if you want to experience something new which will definitely change you in many good ways- try out the volunteer travel, TRY KIVA !! :D
Hey Adventuristas. Thanks for the great blog. I think you successfully relate how you felt about the presentation and your thoughts. This is great. Remember, just because it is a class doesn't mean you can't be honest- I mean, feel free to criticize the speaker if that's what you think. The images are also great and add depth to the blog.
